Ambassador Programme
Bloodhound Education’s mission is to inspire children and young people to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics by bringing it to life in the most exciting way possible.
To help us do this, we are supported by an amazing team of volunteers, known as Bloodhound Ambassadors drawn from our education partners, across multiple industry sectors, and professional institutions.
They play a vital role in bringing subjects to life, sharing their own career experiences and enthusing future engineers.
Our Ambassadors inform, advise and enthuse teachers, students and the general public both in the UK and abroad:
- STEM Ambassadors engage with students and young people at schools and colleges, and can support us at public events as well.
- Event Ambassadors engage with the public at a range of open events to help promote the work of the charity.
All our Ambassadors have access to online training and resources to support them when they represent Bloodhound Education.
Bloodhound Ambassadors
Our ambassadors are given training, guidance, and resources to engage with schools and clubs in their local area. This could be to give a Bloodhound STEM presentation or run a workshop in school, youth group or STEM club.
They also support the education team with school outreach activities, clubs, family and holiday workshops, public events, and exhibitions.
It is a great way to further develop professional skills and showcase your own industry alongside like-minded professionals.

“Being a Bloodhound STEM Ambassador gives me the opportunity to share with our young students, my deep passion for science and excitement that comes from a career in Engineering.”
If you have enthusiasm for STEM, a sense of fun and a willingness to engage with people of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds, why not join us.

Corporate ambassador partnerships
We can develop a bespoke ambassador programme tailored to promote your company or industry sector, inspiring the next generation to consider it as an attractive career pathway. This will include training and providing unique presentation and workshop materials to equip your ambassadors to engage in outreach activities and build educational relationships locally.

Aluminium Ambassador Programme
The Aluminium Federation has established its own Aluminium ambassador programme in partnership with Bloodhound Education, who will be industry role models, and reach a wider and more diverse audience. It provides opportunities for both new and experienced engineers to develop presentation and communication skills, and helps apprentices meet the broader knowledge skills and behaviours in the apprenticeship standards.
The programme provides creative public engagement, sharing of good practice across the sector groups and coordinated and continued engagement partnerships. ALFED can see direct reach and impact of activities.

“The ALFED Aluminium ambassador programme is a great opportunity for the UK aluminium sector to establish industry role models to support education and training for students, parents and teachers, promoting the benefits of a career in a leading sustainable industry and to ensure the future succession of skilled staff.” Tom Jones, ALFED CEO.
Can I be an Ambassador?
To be an Ambassador, it helps if you are confident and articulate, but the most important things are enthusiasm for BLOODHOUND LSR, the value of STEM, a sense of fun and a willingness to engage with people of different ages, abilities and backgrounds
Our Ambassadors have a wide variety of backgrounds – some have (or have had) STEM careers, but not all, and some have been involved in previous World Land Speed Record projects, but most haven’t. If you can speak with confidence about technical matters, then that helps, but we will give you the training you need so that you can explain the technology behind BLOODHOUND and the manufacturing and testing processes.
