Air-powered rocket car design challenge
Students develop engineering skills by designing and building a prototype air-powered rocket car. The sessions allow students to experience and learn from the engineering cycle, testing their solutions and improving them interactively.
The sessions also promote the development of workplace skills, through working together to achieve the best possible solution within given constraints.

Workshop length:
- Design, build and test sessions can be run as 1 hour sessions or for a more in-depth experience with data gathering and analysis, longer sessions are available:-
- 4 x 1 hour sessions
- 2 x 2.5 hour sessions
- 1 whole day session
Student numbers:
- Up to 33 for 4 x 1 hour sessions
- Up to 66 for half day sessions, running twice over the day.
