Renewable Energy workshop
Sustainable and renewable technology will be critical to reduce the risk of further climate change.
Students will explore how these technologies work and develop engineering skills through working in teams to construct their own working wind turbine. They will learn how to produce electricity from kinetic energy and see the results to create a genuine ‘light bulb’ moment.
Suitable for:
- Year 3 – 12

Workshop length:
- Design, build and test sessions can be run as 1 hour sessions or for a more in-depth experience with data gathering and analysis, longer sessions are available:-
- 4 x 1 hour sessions
- 2 x 2.5 hour sessions
- 1 whole day session
Student numbers:
- Up to 33 for 4 x 1 hour sessions
- Up to 66 for half day sessions, running twice over the day.
