We are proud to be a part of the Holiday Activity and Food Programme (HAP and HAF) funded by the Department of Education.
We are running 2 programmes of activities this summer.
Family science & engineering build and play (HAF) 5+ years
WHEN:
2nd- 4th August 10.30am – 2.30pm: Space – explore space and science behind launching a rocket. You will look at the effect forces have on objects through designing and building your own compressed air rocket which you will launch and see how far it travels – our current record is 30metres!
8th – 10th August 10.30am – 2.30pm: Tallest towers – learn about structural engineering through exploring the growth of tall buildings and their structures. Develop and construct your own tower that can survive weight and wind tests.
16th – 19th August 10.30am – 2.30pm: Racing rocket cars – design and build a prototype air-powered rocket car to go as fast as possible in a straight line. Test and modify it before racing it on our track to see the results.
22nd, 23rd, 25th August 10.30am – 2.30pm: 3D printing & junk modelling – explore how 3D printing works technology works and how it allows us to make things out of all sorts of materials with very little waste. Experiment and make your own creations using recycled items.

Children must be accompanied by an adult who can take part and/or make use of our wi-fi and access to free hot and cold drinks.
