Merry Christmas from the Bloodhound Education team!
What an amazing year 2019 turned out to be! From an uncertain start for our namesake car, the year has ended on a very positive note as Bloodhound LSR driver Andy Green sped down the desert racetrack in South Africa to reach a top speed of 628mph (1,010km/h) last month.
At Bloodhound Education, we were constantly checking for updates on the runs and were absolutely thrilled for the team as they reached milestone after milestone. It was incredibly inspiring and we’re looking forward to incorporating some of their learning into our workshops and resources.
And now, at the end of 2019, we’re finishing on another high as we move into our new headquarters on the Gloucestershire Science and Technology Park alongside Bloodhound LSR at SGS Berkeley Green UTC.

Our new Bloodhound Education Centre is open for business
Our new home on the Gloucester Science and Technology Park at Berkeley Green is open for business alongside the Bloodhound LSR project’s HQ at the University Technical College (UTC) . We now have a dedicated space for running workshops, so if you are interested in a standard or bespoke event at the site, please get in touch.

We are running a Family Rocket Car event at our new Education Centre in Christmas holidays, so you can get a chance to see our new HQ for yourselves. Design, build and race your own rocket car as part of an exciting half-day experience. Also enjoy an interactive presentation on the science and technology behind Bloodhound LSR, a tour around our new facilities and see the Bloodhound LSR workshop.

Bloodhound inspires in South Africa
The Bloodhound LSR team has just returned from a hugely successful and very inspiring trip to South Africa for high speed testing. While they were there, they were visited by many guests, including an enthusiastic group from a local school. They also went to nearby Upington to give presentations and answer questions in two more schools. Find out how they got on.
